Proposal · October 2026
Raico. A brand, built from the ground up.
Brand, identity, app design, website and marketing for Raico’s launch in Cairo. Work starts 1 December 2026; the brand launches in April 2027.
What this document is
Raico has an app, a name and a logo. It does not yet have a brand.
This is written for someone who has not built a brand before, so nothing is assumed. It starts with an honest look at Raico as it is today, explains what a brand is and why it has to be built in a particular order, and then lists everything we would make between December and launch, month by month.
It ends with what is paid once and what is paid monthly. The numbers are left for the conversation after you have read it.
In short
- Where Raico is today, honestly
- What we build, in order, from research to launch
- A month-by-month plan from 1 December
- What is paid once, and what is paid monthly
01
Where Raico is today
A true critique of the current logo, feed and image. The look was generated in Gemini with no idea behind it, and it shows. Not said to be unkind, but because it is the starting point, and everything in this plan answers it.
The feed, as a rider sees it

Three logos.
A gold pin, a purple R, a flat wordmark. In nine squares.
Five colours.
Gold, black, purple, green and red, in one month.
One message.
0% commission, to captains. Riders are not here.
Generated, not designed.
Every image is a Gemini prompt with nothing behind it: no idea, no system, no taste. Nine posts, and not one a rider would recognise tomorrow.
The logo and the name

Three logos in one feed.
A gold pin with a car in it, a purple R on a tile, and a flat wordmark on a gradient. A brand has one logo, and people learn it by seeing it the same way every time.
The pin is every map app on earth.
It says location. It does not say Raico, and it can never be owned.
The tagline is in the wrong language.
“Your ride, on time” is an English line on an Arabic feed, and any competitor could use it tomorrow.
Gold on black reads as a limousine.
The look says luxury. The offer says economy. A brand whose look and price disagree is not believed on either.
The posts

Every post says everything.
Five to seven messages, three typefaces and two badges in one square. A post that says everything is a post nobody reads.
No palette, no typeface, no rule.
A different Arabic display face each time, on a Gemini background, held together with outlines, gradients and drop shadows. There is nothing to recognise at a glance, and a glance is all a feed gets.
The same smiling driver as everyone else.
A generated man in a white shirt behind a wheel, the first thing every AI model draws when asked for a driver. Uber, Careem and inDrive use the same man. This is not aesthetics, it is the absence of any.
Only captains are spoken to.
Every post is about commission. Riders, the people who pay, are almost absent.
What this costs Raico
Trust
A ride-hailing app asks a stranger to get into a car. That is a question of trust before it is a question of price, and a brand that looks improvised does not earn it.
Price
Without a brand, the only lever left is 0% commission and discounts. That is a race to the bottom against Uber, Careem, inDrive, Bolt and DiDi, who have deeper pockets.
Growth
Nothing in the feed would travel beyond Cairo. The plan to go global needs a brand that can.
What a brand is, and why it is built in this order
A brand is not a logo. It is what people expect from Raico before they open the app, and whether the app keeps that promise.
- 1
Foundation
What Raico stands for, for whom, and why it is different from the five apps already on the phone. Written down and agreed.
- 2
Identity
The logo, colour, type, imagery, motion and tone of voice that make Raico recognisable in half a second, in Arabic and in English.
- 3
Product
The rider app, the captain app and the website, where the promise is kept or broken.
- 4
Communication
Social, campaigns, ads, the ambassador, the captain kit. The same brand every day, in every place.
Each layer stands on the one below it. Skip one and the layer above it wobbles. That is why the plan runs in this order, and why the foundation is paid once.
02
Who we are
Two people, not an agency. You talk to the people doing the work, and nothing is briefed out to a third party.
Sixteen years in brand identity, digital design and motion. Built Tarjama and Arabic.AI, two brands and two bilingual websites, from zero, and art directs both today. Brand and product work for Flixier, Liva Healthcare and Meddbase, now Cority. On Raico the work is done by hand, by him: the logo, the system, the app screens, the site and the videos, with a second designer working under his direction, in paid professional tools, the Adobe suite, Figma and After Effects, and the licensed generative image and video platforms where they earn their place. Not a prompt and a download. He starts at the concept and finishes the file, so what is pitched is what gets built.
On Raico
- Research, strategy and the brand foundation
- Logo, identity and the brand book, by hand
- Rider and captain app design, and the website
- Art direction of every design and video, with a second designer
Everything Raico says that is not a picture is his: the social channels every day in Arabic, the copy and scripts, press and public relations, captain and rider communications, the creator and influencer programme, and the ambassador role in front of the camera. It is the hardest seat in a launch, because it never closes: a complaint at midnight, a journalist in the morning, a campaign going out at noon. Eleven years of it across Egypt, the Gulf and Saudi Arabia, writing and running campaigns at Eye Advertising, co-founding Wasla Media in Doha, and five years in Dubai on work for the Ministry of Health, the Public Prosecution and GITEX. On his own channels he talks to more than seven hundred thousand people in Egypt every week, the audience Raico has to reach.
On Raico
- Social media, every day, in Arabic
- Press, public relations and crisis handling
- Captain and rider communications, copy and scripts
- Creators, influencers, and the ambassador role
GITEX
UAE Ministry of HealthThe plan at a glance
Work starts 1 December. Everything is ready before the second quarter, with March held back on purpose.
If everything lands on time, March becomes extra content. If anything slips, March absorbs it and the launch date does not move.
03
December. Research and strategy
Nothing is designed yet. This month decides what Raico is, who it is for, and what it says, so that January draws the right thing.
- December
- January
- February
- March
- April
01 · Market research
A complete competitor and social media review within Egypt, before anything is designed.
| Research area | Scope | |
|---|---|---|
| Competitor landscape | Who operates in Egypt, their service models, offers and positioning. | |
| Strengths and weaknesses | Pricing, service quality, rider experience and captain experience, app by app. | |
| Social media audit | Content strategy, formats, posting cadence, engagement and paid ads. | |
| Customer feedback | App reviews, complaints, trust barriers and recurring pain points. | |
| Opportunity map | Competitor mistakes to avoid, and weaknesses Raico can own. |
Delivered as a written report and a walkthrough call. Everything after it is built on it.
02 · Marketing strategy, part A
Market priorities, audiences and positioning.
| Strategy area | What we deliver | |
|---|---|---|
| Objectives | Business goals, growth targets and the marketing KPIs we report against every month. | |
| Market priorities | Market analysis, SWOT, competitive positioning and launch geographies. | |
| Audiences | Rider personas, captain personas, segmentation and what each one needs. | |
| Brand and value | Positioning, value proposition, reasons to believe and key messages. | |
| Offer strategy | Pricing recommendations, service tiers, incentives and promotions. | |
| Customer journey | Awareness, acquisition, first ride and repeat use. |
02 · Marketing strategy, part B
Channels, acquisition and execution planning.
| Strategy area | What we deliver | |
|---|---|---|
| Acquisition | Rider acquisition, captain recruitment, the conversion funnel and the launch plan. | |
| Channels | Organic social, paid media, search and app store visibility, partnerships. | |
| Content | Content pillars, campaign themes, platform roles and creative formats. | |
| Growth | Referrals, retention, CRM, loyalty and corporate accounts. | |
| Resources | Budget allocation, channel priorities, delivery roadmap and who does what. | |
| Measurement | Tracking, attribution, reporting, testing and optimisation. |
04
January. Brand
The strategy is approved. Now Raico gets a foundation, a voice, a logo and a system, in that order.
- December
- January
- February
- March
- April
03 · Brand foundation and verbal identity
What Raico stands for, written down before it is drawn.
| Area | Scope | |
|---|---|---|
| Purpose and promise | Why Raico exists, what it promises riders and captains, and the values behind it. | |
| Personality | How Raico behaves: in a push notification, in a complaint, in an ad. | |
| Name | Raico stays. We fix how it is written and said in Arabic and English, so that رايكو and Raico are one name. | |
| Tagline | A line only Raico can say, written in Arabic first. | |
| Tone of voice | How Raico talks to riders and to captains, with examples, and the words it never uses. | |
| Messaging | The core messages for each audience, so every post starts from the same place. |
04 · Logo and visual identity
A system, not a picture. Everything here is drawn so it works at app-icon size and on the side of a car.
| Area | Scope | |
|---|---|---|
| Logo system | Primary mark, Arabic and English wordmarks drawn as equals, app icon, favicon and a motion version. | |
| Colour | A palette with one owned colour, tested in Cairo daylight, on a phone screen and on a car. | |
| Typography | An Arabic and English pair set together rather than translated, licensed for app, web and print. | |
| Graphic elements | The shapes, patterns and layout rules that make a post Raico’s before the logo appears. | |
| Imagery | Photography and generated-image direction: real Cairo, real captains, no stock. | |
| Iconography | One icon set for the apps, the website and the marketing, in one hand. | |
| Brand book | Usage rules, do and do not, and editable master files, handed over. |
05 · Company touchpoints
The identity, applied to every place Raico meets a rider or a captain.
Car branding
Window sticker, dashboard card and the captain’s ID, so a rider recognises the car before the number plate.
Captain kit
Onboarding guide, welcome message, earnings statement and support templates.
Rider communications
Push notifications, receipts, emails and the in-app messages people actually read.
App store presence
Icon, screenshots, preview video and listing copy in both languages.
Corporate
Pitch deck template, letterhead, business cards and an email signature.
Social templates
Post, carousel, story and reel templates the team can use without a designer.
05
February. Product and launch system
The identity goes into the apps and the website first, then into the advertising, then into a launch with enough material to last.
- December
- January
- February
- March
- April
06 · Rider and captain apps
A full redesign of both apps on the new identity. Every screen and every flow, both platforms, Arabic and English.
Audit
We go through both apps as a rider and as a captain and list what is confusing, slow or broken, with a priority for each.
Redesign
Every screen and flow redesigned in the new identity: the journeys, colour, type, icons, components, empty states, maps and dark mode.
Handover
Figma files with a component library, so the developers build from a system instead of from screenshots.
New features, as an extra
Features the apps do not have today are scoped and quoted after the audit.
We have not seen the apps yet. The redesign is priced on the apps as they are today. New features are a separate quote.
07 · Website
Raico has no website. A brand that wants to go global needs one, and a rider who hears the name needs somewhere to look it up.
One site, two languages
Arabic and English, set together, on raico’s own domain, designed and built by us.
For riders
What Raico is, how it works, where it operates, and the app download in two taps.
For captains
Earnings, requirements and sign-up, so recruitment has a home outside the app stores.
Support and trust
Help, safety, pricing and the policies a rider checks before the first ride.
Press and company
About, news and a press kit, so the launch has somewhere to send journalists.
Built to grow
A page per city when Raico opens one, and the base for every campaign landing page.
08 · Advertising identity and art direction
How Raico looks when it speaks, so a campaign is recognisable before the logo appears.
| Area | Scope | |
|---|---|---|
| Campaign look | The visual language for ads: layouts, colour, type scale, imagery, and how Arabic and English share a frame. | |
| Video and motion | Motion rules for the logo, the type and the transitions, so every video moves like Raico. | |
| Formats | Masters for feed, story, reel, in-app and web, so nothing is cropped by accident. | |
| Generated production | A directed pipeline for fully AI-generated ads, videos and campaign imagery, on brand and in Egyptian Arabic. | |
| Sound | A sound logo and a music direction, because a brand on a phone is heard as often as it is seen. |
Ads, videos and full campaigns, generated
We build Raico’s ads and videos with generative AI under art direction. A full campaign costs a fraction of a shoot, and can be remade per city, per audience and per language.
What we make
The launch video, product videos, 15 and 6 second ads, captain recruitment videos, explainers and campaign stills.
How
Concept and script by us. Characters, cars and the streets of Cairo generated and directed to the brand. Voice-over in Egyptian Arabic. Edit, music and sound by us.
Why
A campaign in days instead of weeks. No crew, location or talent fees. One concept, ten versions, in every format.
Where a real face matters
Belal and real captains appear in the content that needs a real person. Generated and real sit in one campaign without the seams showing.
What our videos look like
Three recent pieces, playing. The full showreel is one click away on this desktop.
Ideas for the service that can carry a campaign
Advertising needs something true to say. These are ideas for the service itself, to explore with you.
| Idea | What it means | |
|---|---|---|
| Captain first | Captain earnings, benefits, and a support line that answers. | |
| Safety for both | A camera in every car, for the rider and for the captain. | |
| Transparent service | Clear pricing, vehicle standards, and promises Raico keeps. | |
| Reliable journeys | Scheduled rides, easier pickups and fewer cancellations. | |
| Loyalty and recognition | Referral rewards, repeat-ride benefits, and recognition for the best captains. |
A campaign claims only what the operation actually does. Each idea goes live in the advertising after it goes live in the service.
09 · Launch campaign
One idea, told across every channel, with enough material ready before day one that the feed never goes quiet.
The launch idea
A campaign concept built from the strategy: the line, the look and the story.
Brand video
The launch video, generated and directed, with cutdowns for reels, stories and pre-roll.
Captain recruitment
A campaign of its own, because a launch with no cars is a launch nobody remembers.
Rider launch
The first-ride offer, the referral mechanic, and the content that explains them.
Digital first
No outdoor or broadcast in the first two quarters. The launch runs on social, search, the app stores and the site, where every pound is measured.
Content bank
The first thirty days of posts, stories and reels, made and approved before launch.
06
March. Buffer and soft launch
A full month held back, so the launch date is a promise and not a hope.
- December
- January
- February
- March
- April
What March is for
The app reskin comes back from the developers and we check every screen against the files. The website goes live. What is wrong gets fixed before a rider sees it.
The content bank is produced and approved. Belal’s ambassador content is filmed. Tracking and reporting are set up and tested with real numbers, from a soft launch with a first group of captains.
If everything is on time, March becomes extra content and a head start on the second month. If anything slips, March absorbs it.
March checklist
- App handover checked, screen by screen
- Website live
- Thirty days of content approved
- Ambassador content filmed
- Tracking live, first report delivered
- Soft launch with the first captains
07
From April. Launch, and the monthly work
The foundation is built and owned by Raico. From here the work is monthly: campaigns, content, creators and reporting.
- December
- January
- February
- March
- April
10 · Monthly campaigns
Execution begins once the foundation is done. This is the retainer.
| Area | Scope | |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly planning | Campaign objectives, themes, creative concepts and the content calendar. | |
| Creative development | Scripts, copy, design and production direction, in Arabic, English or both as the piece needs. | |
| Social and digital | Posts, reels, stories, videos, and the creative for paid ads. | |
| Offline, from the third quarter | No outdoor or broadcast in the first two quarters. Radio, television, print and activations after that, as agreed. | |
| Campaign management | Production, publishing, optimisation and a monthly performance report. |
11 · UGC, influencers and the ambassador
A dedicated creator plan, managed end to end.
| Workstream | Scope | |
|---|---|---|
| Brand ambassador | Belal Ezzat as the face of the launch phase: content, appearances, and the creator network behind him. | |
| UGC campaigns | Creator selection, briefs, scripts, production direction and content review. | |
| Influencer campaigns | Audience fit, creator coordination, deliverables and publishing plans. | |
| Dedicated plan | Content, timing, budget, usage rights, exclusivity and paid amplification. | |
| Management | Planning, coordination, approvals, rollout and reporting. |
Reported views are account-level totals, validated against account analytics. They are not guaranteed campaign views or unique reach.
12 · What we measure
A monthly report in plain numbers, against the KPIs agreed in the strategy.
Growth
App installs, rider sign-ups and captain sign-ups, and the cost of each.
Use
First rides, repeat rides, and the gap between them.
Brand
Followers, reach, engagement, and share of voice against the five competitors.
Campaigns
What each campaign cost and what it brought in, so the next one is better.
08
Investment
Two kinds of work, two kinds of payment. The foundation is built once and owned by Raico. The monthly work keeps it alive.
Paid once. The foundation
Built once, owned by Raico, and the base for everything monthly.

- Each piece is made in Arabic, English or both, as agreed with you and as the audience needs. Not every deliverable comes in two copies.
- Creator fees, media spend and production outside the studio are billed at cost.
- A new city or country means adapting the brand, the site and the content to it, quoted per market.
How we work
One point of contact
You talk to Moe for everything visual, and Belal for social, press and communications. No account managers in between.
A weekly call
Thirty minutes, every week, with what was done and what is next.
Approvals in order
Research, then strategy, then identity, then product, then campaigns. Nothing is designed before the thing it stands on is approved.
Two rounds
Each deliverable gets two rounds of changes. More is possible, and billed by the day.
Everything editable
Files are handed over in formats your team can use. Nothing is held back.
Arabic, English or both
Decided per piece, with you, by who it is for. When something is in both, each language is set properly, not translated from the other.
Next steps
- 1
Read this
And send your questions, however small.
- 2
A call
To walk through it together and answer them.
- 3
Agree
The scope, the tier and the numbers.
- 4
Sign
And we start on 1 December.
Let’s build it.
Raico can be the app Cairo recognises. This is the work it takes.
